Each night as the sun begins to set in Clearwater Beach, Pier 60 transforms into a festival of fun – perfect for families – and it’s all free.

The daily Sunsets at Pier 60 Festival features street performers, arts/crafts vendors, live music and more. During our recent trip to Clearwater Beach, my family and I loved exploring the pier as we waited for the magnificent sunset across the water.

We loved meeting the artisans along the pier and perusing their works – photos, handmade jewelry and even handmade soaps. If you enjoy shopping locally like I do, this is the place to be.

After you visit the pier, don’t miss the street performers and live musicians playing along the beachfront. My girls were thrilled to see the jugglers and magicians performing and, of course, no trip was complete without a stop at the playground.

Bring a blanket, some snacks and enjoy the sunset. On the weekends, stick around for a family-friendly movie night right on the beach.

Insider Tip: After the sunset, hop across the street to Crabby Bill’s for dinner. Known for their great seafood, it’s the perfect spot to relax. Try the Crabbyfeller Oysters topped with bacon and their crab and spinach dip. You won’t be disappointed.
