Whether you've made a commitment to eat more greens in the new year or just want a healthy, guilt-free dining choice, here are some of my favorite vegetarian restaurants in Orlando:

1. Dandelion Community Cafe

Menu sample: Henry's Hearty Chili with organic tempeh, tomatoes, kidney beans, bell peppers, sweet corn, red onions, and spices.  Their menu also offers a lot of hearty salad options that can be served in a bowl or wrapped as a sandwich. My personal favorite is their Fluffer Nutter with almond butter, bananas, and rice-mellow fluff.

2. Ethos Vegan Kitchen

Menu sample: A Vegetable Galette of seasoned carrots, potatoes, and broccoli wrapped in a layer of flaky pastry and baked until golden brown.  They also have soups, salads, sandwiches, and pastas.

Menu sample: Rubin Farr, a not so classic rueben sandwich with tempeh, kraut, vegan 1000 dressing, daiya, jalapenos servied on a rye break with chips.  Plenty of sandwiches, salads, and snacks available as a vegan option.

4. Infusion Tea

Menu sample: Tuscan White Bean Panzanella Salad with cannellini beans, tomato, cucumber, green pepper, Kalamata olives, red onion, pine nuts and goat cheese on spring mix with our citrus vinaigrette and house made croutons.  Lots of soups, salads, sandwiches, and wraps.  They also have a selection of classic tea sandwiches if you'd like to have a casual afternoon tea time.

5. Loving Hut

Menu sample: Golden BBQ soy protein with lemon grass, sesame seeds, onion, garlic, and five spice.  A variety of vegan Asian cuisine including rice & noodle bowls, dumplings, spring rolls, and other shareable bites.  They also have some Western dishes such as spaghetti and burgers made with soy protein.
